From your WordPress dashboard you can easily see how much your posts have scored and thus decide what content to share in the future. Additionally you can also pose Yes/No questions.

Although lots of bloggers seem to prefer the paid alternative Aweber, I believe MailChimp is great for bloggers who are just starting with email marketing.

Okay, MailChimp is the platform to start building your list… but how do you get subscribers?

One of many ways to do that is by redirecting those who leave comments on your blog to a thank you page.

That is exactly the idea of this free plugin. Comment Redirect allows you to select a redirect page for first-time commenters. On that page you can add an opt-in to easily convert those people into email subscribers.

Ninja Popups

Whatever you say, fact is popups are an effective way to increase conversions!

I believe Ninja Popups wins in terms of price/value. This WordPress plugin costs $22 – lower than the majority of popup plugins available.

From the plugin’s settings you can choose different themes to suit your blog’s layout. You can set display delay time and configure cookies – pretty much all you need for an effective popup.

And even though at the moment I don’t use a popup plugin, Ninja Popups has helped me get over 1,000 subscribers.
