“Although quantity plays an important role, going for quality or in other words targeted traffic should be your goal.”
This is a great quote from Daniel in one of his recent posts. Being genuine and producing high quality content is key to success for all blogging, tweeting or other content producing efforts. What can be tricky at times is doing it consistently.
So let me briefly describe Buffer, a new tool for Twitter which will help you to tweet more efficiently whilst still producing genuine, high quality content for your followers.
How Buffer WorksBuffer gives you a smarter way to stay on top of your tweeting. It lets you add tweets to your Buffer, which will then be evenly spread throughout a number of days. It is different from existing ways to schedule tweets because it eliminates the hassle of setting the time for each tweet.
With Buffer, you don’t schedule at all. You set your times only once. Then all you do is top up your Buffer with a tweet right from your browser every time you come across interesting content you want to share.
You do this by simply clicking the Buffer bookmarklet or Chrome Extension icon. You can then intuitively add another tweet to your Buffer, taking our suggested text or adjusting it to go with a shortened link to the page. Here is how it looks:

Of course you can always go back to your dashboard at http://bufferapp.com. There you can change the wording, cancel tweets, add new tweets and all other things you would expect you are able to do.
How do people use Buffer? It might also be interesting for you to see how many people are using Buffer at the moment. Whilst they check their RSS-reader and read news in the morning, they come across many interesting articles, quotes or videos. Instead of flooding their followers with their findings all at once, they top up their Buffer. They know that they are providing high-quality tweets spread out over the course of the day. This helps them to share genuine content without any additional effort to their morning routine. Just click the Buffer Icon and add to your Buffer. That’s it.
How does this help me?One of the key benefits is that you can work out all your tweets at one point in time. By focusing on creating great tweets whilst not in the middle of something else, you can be sure that the quality will be higher. You can choose to produce your tweets at a time when you are in “content-production mode”.
Since you are tweeting consistently, people will engage with you more often and therefore you can really focus on the interaction.
A nice side effect is that you will be surprised how good it feels once you’ve topped up and have a full Bufferto share great content with your followers in the coming days or even weeks.
We’d love to hear from you. You can get in touch on Twitteror in the comments below and we’ll be sure to reply.
